It just came and went

I'm realizing I am not blogging as often as I would have like too. I always seem to be so busy for some reason...

Early September, I was so busy with last minute preparations for Kayla's second birthday party. Her birthday was Hello Kitty themed, we chose the theme sometime in June. I thought up details early so I could start on everything and not have to do everything last minute. I wanted to be original as far as decorations, I decided to be a little creative and make some of her decor... Although I thought up ideas in July, I ended up finishing everything last minute. Of course, I had to wait until I got most of the RSVP's in to get an idea of how many kids were coming as far as the goody bags and I ended up making way too many...

This party just came and went... We are so lucky to have families who are so supportive with our plans. Especially our parents who have always been there to help us thru the planning and I'm so thankful that we have so many people willing to help us out, especially Kathy and Kelli (you guys were so there in my time of need!!!). We had a great turn out and plenty of food.

These parties go by way too quickly, the time tends to pass me by... It's so me to get caught up in the moment of it all trying to make sure it goes perfect which never happens. After the fact I think to myself and say things like "why did I stress about that." For future birthdays think less on perfection, and live more in the moment. She'll have plenty of birthdays to come :o)

Chichibu Park - August 27, 2011
On Saturday 08/27 we were invited to attend Charlyzes 5th birthday at Chichibu Park, we still can't believe how much time has passed. Vince and I just started dating when Charlyze was born, how time flies... It was good times at the park, great to see friends and the family all together as well as friends who have had babies or are expecting. Kayla had a great time running around with the kids, she watched as they hit the pinata and go for the candy always a good time when she can have candy and cupcakes which is only on special occasions. She also was able to pet a teacup piglet who was at the next picnic site over, very cute. Kayla is very much into animals, she continued to try and sneak over to see it again...

Another thing I wanted to share that happened at home before the party was a milestone for me... Kayla surprised me and started counting her 123's!!! She can count 1-5, this girl never ceases to amaze me :o)

My First Blog Ever!

I've finally decided to get on the bandwagon and start a family blog which will be updated by me at least weekly of our trials and tribulations of daily life. One of the reasons I thought to start one was in past Facebook posts my status updates tended to be somewhat like novels lol... They have literally been like four sentences long and another it would be a good way to update family and friends who'd like to subscribe to our blog. I thought it over and over and decided hey why not give it a try, so stay tuned.

About our little family, Vince and I first encountered each other at a mutual friends's house in 1999. It wasn't at all what you're thinking, totally not a setup as I was in a relationship back then. Years went by until we saw each other again in 2006 he and I was single my girlfriend and her mom decided to play matchmaker and low and behold it worked... We clicked instantly you would have thought we've known each other forever, we never even had conversations prior. We ended up tying the knot on July 26, 2008, we then had our baby girl Kayla Rae on September 14, 2009. We also have a brindle/white staffordshire terrier/pitbull named Deija (pronounced Day-shuh) which we've had since 2007.

I currently work for Kaiser Permanente as a admin to Volunteer Services and I love my job, Vince is a supervisor for Junkpros a eco-friendly hauling service. Kayla currently attends a family daycare but will be attending Little Angels Country School starting in mid-September.
